Drip Campaign
« Back to Glossary Index
A drip campaign is a predetermined series of messages that are “dripped” out over time following a trigger event, with fixed or relative delays between messages. Unlike complex workflows, drips often use linear logic and are focused on education and nurture.
- Examples:
- 7-day trial onboarding series
- Multi-part educational course delivered via email
- New subscriber orientation sequence
- Optimization levers: Timing between touches, content progression, and transitions from drip to other journeys (e.g., moving to a sales-led track once a lead hits a given engagement threshold).
