Open rate is the percentage of delivered emails registered as opened by recipients. Although open tracking is impacted by privacy protections and automatic image loading, it remains a useful directional signal.

- Benchmarking subject line performance over time.
- Monitoring sudden drops that may indicate deliverability issues.
- Caution: Should not be treated as an absolute metric; best interpreted alongside clicks, conversions, and device-level patterns.
