ROI is a financial metric used to evaluate the profitability of email and automation activities by comparing attributable revenue to the cost of running those programs.
- Inputs:
- Revenue from tracked conversions (ecommerce, pipeline influenced, deals closed).
- Costs including platform licensing, creative and operations resources, and any associated media spend.
- Management use: Helps justify investment in automation tools and headcount, and helps prioritize which journeys or segments to scale further.
