SPF (Sender Policy Framework), DKIM, DMARC (Together)

« Back to Glossary Index

In combination, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC form the technical backbone of a trusted email-sending environment.

  • SPF: Specifies which IPs are authorized to send on behalf of your domain.
  • DKIM: Cryptographically signs outgoing messages, enabling receivers to validate authenticity.
  • DMARC: Uses SPF and DKIM results to instruct receivers on how to handle unauthenticated emails and provides reporting.
  • Outcome: Stronger brand protection, fewer spoofed emails, and a more favorable reputation with mailbox providers.
