Suppression List

A suppression list is a collection of email addresses that are excluded from from future sends, regardless of list membership.

  • Who appears on it: Unsubscribes, hard bounces, known complainers, and occasionally sensitive internal addresses.
  • Purpose: Ensures regulatory compliance, avoids negative signals to mailbox providers, and prevents accidental reactivation of contacts who have opted out.
