Tagging is the practice of assigning flexible labels to contacts to capture behaviors, cohorts, or attributes that may not warrant dedicated fields.

  • Examples: “webinar-jan-2025,” “pricing-page-visitor,” “beta-cohort-1.”
  • Benefits: Quick to implement, easy to use for segmentation and triggers, and helpful for campaign-specific analysis without heavy data modeling.
