Transactional emails are triggered by specific user actions or system events and usually contain information the recipient needs or expects, such as order confirmations, password resets, invoices, and security alerts.

  • Characteristics:
    • Typically one-to-one and event-specific.
    • Often have higher engagement and different regulatory treatment than marketing emails.
  • Best practice: Maintain a clear separation between transactional and promotional content, even when both are delivered from the same platform.
